Doris A. Behnke, age 81 of Brillion, passed away on Saturday August 6, 2011 at West Haven in Brillion. She was born September 6, 1929 in Oshkosh daughter of the late Edward and Wilhelmina Baier. She married Herbert C. Behnke on March 29, 1952 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. Doris loved to crochet, knit, make Barbie clothes and do jigsaw puzzles. Doris was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. She is survived by her children, Karen Bissonnette, Susan (Ron) Kleinhans, Sally (Blain) Keuer, Patsy (Dan) Geiger, Peggy (Ron) Shamburek , and Randy Behnke, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, a sister Edna (Bob) Waters, a brother-in-law Melroy (Joyce) Behnke, and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbie on May 17, 2011, her parents, three brothers Harold, Eric and Le Roy Baier, two sisters Viola Ryf and Doris twin sister Delores Robinson as well as a son-in-law Michael Bissonnette. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 601 E. National Ave, Brillion. The Rev. Ross Henzi will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. The Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion is assisting the family with arrangements. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at West Haven of Brillion, Unity Hospice, and Pastors Henzi and Bourman as well as Pastor Susan Safford Gaul for all of the support given to the family and to mom.
