Dorothy Biedenbender

Dorothy Biedenbender, age 93, of Brillion, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah, surrounded by her family.

Dorothy was born and baptized on February 27, 1923 in Hilbert, daughter of the late William C. and Wilhelmina (Ohm) Bessert.  On June 10, 1945, she married Wilburn J. Biedenbender at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul.  The couple was married for 59 years before he preceded her in death on April 30, 2005.  Dorothy was employed at Brillion High School for 27 years as their cook.  In her retirement, she also worked part-time at Rudy’s Café.  Dorothy was known for her peanut squares and embroidered dish towels, enjoyed cooking and baking, liked to play cards and sheepshead, and especially enjoyed gathering her family together and spending time with them.

Dorothy is survived by her four daughters, two daughters-in-law, and their families: daughter: Paulette (Dennis) Krizenesky of Brillion, their children: Brian (Stacie) Krizenesky and family Levi, Trevor, and Dontae, Troy (Elaine) Krizenesky and family Justin and Ryan, Tammy (Matthew) Plate and family Devin and Logan, and Kristie (Daniel) Kiesow and family Renae and Bryce; daughter: Kathie (Ronald) Hillmann of Ixonia and their children: Carrie (Michael) Henning and family Mollie, Elijah, Jared, and Lucie, Joshua (Jessica) Hillmann and family Claire, Emma, Stella, Jack, and Josephine, Andrew (Jennifer) Hillmann and family Madalyn and Avaleen; Judith (Earl) Geiger of Brillion and their children: Wendy (Clay) Brehmer and family Bret and Haylee, Matthew (Lisa) Geiger and family Bo, Theo, and Grady, Michael (Erica) Geiger and family Kendra and Cail, Mason (Mindy) Geiger and family Cooper and Elliot; Jayne Brett of Appleton and family: James (Nicole) Riddle and family Caleb, Evelyn, and Wyatt; daughter-in-law: Sandra Biedenbender of West Bend and children: Brett (Jody) Biedenbender and family Brad, Mark, and Kari, Paul (Teresa) Biedenbender and family Jazmine and Camila, and Amy Biedenbender; and daughter-in-law Lori Biedenbender of Brillion and children: Katie and Luke; one sister: Loretta Schroeder, her twin brother and sister-in-law: Harvey (Lorraine) Bessert; brothers: William and Ronald Bessert; and sister-in-law: June Bessert; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wilburn, their two sons Thomas and Jerome “Shorty,” one grandson Martin Hillmann, one sister, one brother, two brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion.  Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Ross Henzi and Rev. Thomas Fricke.  Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Brillion.

Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m.
