Dorothy J. Haese, age 88 of Reedsville, died on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Harmony House in Manitowoc. She was born April 15, 1925 in the town of Rockland, daughter of the late August and Ella (Berkholtz) Schwanke. She married Clarence Haese on November 17, 1945 at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. She farmed with her husband in the town of Rockland for over twenty years. They then moved to Reedsville where Dorothy worked in the office at Equity for over twenty years. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Underwood of Oxford, North Carolina, four grandchildren, Brian (Tracy) Brachmann of Manitowoc, Tanya Soeldner of Green Bay, Katrina Johnson of North Carolina and Curtis Brennen of Naples, FL, nine great grandchildren, Jessica, Arica, Kristol, Kalyn, Tyra, Amanda, Brianna, Ciera and Ryan. Dorothy is also survived by one brother, Donald Schwanke of Kelly Lake as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence on November 16, 2006, a sister in law Betty Schwanke, two brothers in law and four sisters in law, Roland & Hilda Haese, Elroy & Ovella Haese, Louise Haese and Gretchen Haese as well as one grandson, James Brennen. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 7 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. The Rev. Timothy Nommensen will officiate. Burial will be in the West Side Cemetery.
