Dorothy A. Petrie, age 84, of Mount Calvary, passed away at Manor Care in Fond du Lac Monday, February 15, 2016, with her family at her side, ending her journey with dementia. The former Dorothy Mueller was born February 21, 1931, in Marytown to the late Alfred & Lorraine (Dreifuerst) Mueller. Dorothy attended St. Mary's Catholic Grade School in Marytown. On May 30, 1951, she married Marvin B. Petrie at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown; Marvin preceded her in death on December 16, 2003. Dorothy and Marvin farmed in the Town of Marshfield near Mount Calvary. She enjoyed music, tending to her garden and flowers, being with her family, and babysitting for her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Isidore Parish-Holy Cross Church in Mount Calvary, church choir, and Christian Mothers and Altar Society. Survivors include her four children, Paul (Sue) Petrie of St. Cloud, Ann (Steve) Roe of Kiel, Mary (Tim) Greuel of St. Cloud and Susan (Steve) Guelig of Fond du Lac "St. Peter"; eight grandchildren, Christopher (Dana) Roe, Benjamin (Megan) Roe, Sarah (Mike) Ninmer, Jennifer (Joe) Makowski, Scott (Jessi) Petrie, Rebecca (Frank) Born, Nicole Greuel, Madeline Guelig; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tom (Jean) Mueller of Kiel and Al (Rose) Mueller of St. Cloud; her sister, Laura (John) Peik of Chilton; brothers-in-law, Edwin (Kitty) Petrie of St. Joe, Roger (Nancy) Petrie of Plymouth, Ralph (Jane) Petrie of Fond du Lac, John Meyer of Utah; and sister-in-law, Rita Petrie of Mount Calvary. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred & Lorraine Mueller; her husband, Marvin; a great grandson, a brother, Gerald Mueller; two sisters, Lillian Raddatz and Marian (Ken) Fuhrmann; sister-in-law, Cel Meyer and brother-in-law, Melvin Petrie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:30 PM on Friday, February 19, 2016, at St. Isidore Parish-Holy Cross Church, 308 S. County Road W Mount Calvary, WI 53057. Rev. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap. will officiate. Dorothy will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Mount Calvary.
