November 30, 1957, he married Mary Ellen (Drossart) Raether, and they moved to New Holstein where he built a very successful practice. Chuck loved to golf, play cards and work on his lawn. We all strive to make chicken on the grill like he did. He called it his 2 "Manhattan" chicken and it's hard to replicate. There is no doubt that our dad was a fantastic chiropractor and absolutely loved his patients. This was not a job it was his passion and he spent over 50 years serving the community. He spent so much time studying and researching to bring the best care possible to his patients. He helped so many people feel better and built an unbelievable practice that he was extremely proud of. The family would like to thank Caring Hands in New Holstein for their love and care of our dad. They did everything to keep him comfortable and were with him when he took his last breath. We appreciate your patience with him. The staff took such great care of him and they are extremely caring people. You are all invaluable. Thank you also to Calumet County Home Health and Hospice who stepped in at the end to make sure he had additional care and comfort. Private services will be held.
