Earl J. Klotz, age 81, of New Holostein, died unexpectedly Sunday, September 2, 2012, at his home. He was born May 21, 1931 in Marytown to the late Edmund & Meta (Thielman) Klotz. He graduated from New Holstein High School in 1949. On January 15, 1955, he married Marlene Wirth at St. Cloud Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Earl had worked at Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein until his retirement. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein and was very active with the Outdoors Inc. gun club. Survivors include his wife, Marlene; his three sons, William Klotz of Brantwood, WI, Thomas (Lori) Klotz of St. Cloud, WI and Randy (Mary) Klotz of New Holstein, WI; three grandchildren, Katie (Nathan) Peterson, Michael Klotz, and Mitchell Klotz; two brothers, Kenneth (Eleanor) Klotz and Allen (Rita) Klotz, both of New Holstein. Earl was preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 1724 Madison Street in New Holstein. Rev. Harold Berryman will officiate with Deacon Pat Knier assisting. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call at Holy Rosary Church on Wednesday afternoon from 3-6 PM.
