If you wanted to find Earl during the first week of October, you could find him sitting in his duck blind from sun up to sun down.

Earl E. Oehldrich, age 78, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 4th, 2026.

Earl was born to the late Robert and Lorraine (Schomburg) Oehldrich in Sheboygan WI, on June 16, 1948. He married Nancy Kracht on August 11 , 1973. Earl attended and graduated from Kiel High School.

Earl was a lifelong dairy farmer and proud to take over the family homestead. He was a volunteer firefighter in Cleveland. Earl was also a lifelong member of St. John St. Peter Lutheran Church where he was an active part of the choir for 30 years and also served on the church council.

If you wanted to find Earl during the first week of October, the house would be the last place to check. Instead, you could find him sitting in his duck blind from sun up to sun down doing one of the things he loved most... duck and goose hunting. Besides hunting Earl also enjoyed trapping many other types of animals, from rabbits, to muskrats, and even snapping turtles.

Earl also loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed Monday morning breakfasts with his cousins and friends as well as teaching his grandchildren the things he enjoyed.

Earl is survived by his Wife: Nancy; Daughters: Tammy (Shawn) Dehne, Kelly (Joe) Wamser; Sons: Robert (Sarah) Oehldrich, Dennis (Kayla) Oehldrich; Grandchildren: Hannah and Harry Dehne, Lily and Emma Wamser, Madeline, Emily, Alyssa, and Leilah Oehldrich, Logan, Trevor, and Sophie Oehldrich; Sister: Kay Marie Bitter; Brother-in law and Sister-in-law: Allen (Bonnie) Kracht, Diane Bonde; as well as nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Oehldrich and Lorriane (Henry) Schwinn, Brother, Dale Oehldrich, Brother-in-law Frederick “Fritz” Bitter, Parents-in-law, Palmer and Florence (Heimann) Kracht.

Funeral Services for Earl will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, October 9, 2026 at St. John St Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, Cleveland. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Steven Wall with burial to follow in the Saxon Cemetery, Town of Centerville.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday October 8, 2026 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM, the visitation will continue on Friday from 9:00AM until 10:45AM when brief family rites will be held.

A Memorial will be established in Earl’s name.

The family would like to thank the Staff at Willowdale Nursing and Rehab, Aurora Hospice, as well as the 2nd floor staff at Aurora Medical Center - Sheboygan County for the compassion and care shown to Earl and his family during his stays.
