Edna K. Kandler, 95, of New Holstein died Sunday afternoon January 10, 2010 at Willowdale Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in New Holstein.
The former Edna Maile was born December 23, 1914 in Brillion to the late William & Caroline Schwander Maile. Edna graduated from Brillion High School in 1933. On September 12, 1936 she married Gilbert Kandler; he preceded her in death on June 15, 1973.
Edna was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in New Holstein since 1936 and the Ladies Aid.
Survivors include her 3 children, James (Sandy) Kandler, Shirley (Brian) Carey and William (Mary) Kandler all of New Holstein; 9 grandchildren, Kevin Kandler, Kris (Scott) Bonlander, Jerrilynn (Dennis) Sarver, Douglas Carey, Craig (Carol) Carey, Shawn Carey, Kim (Craig) Sessing, Jodi (Bill) Scheske and Lisa (Fernando) Espinosa; 12 great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Virginia Kandler of New Holstein.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Gilbert Kandler; a brother and 3 sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday January 13, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church 1702 Van Buren Street New Holstein. Rev. John Schenck will officiate. Burial will be in the New Holstein Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
