Obituary

Edward "Eddie" C. Heus, age 93, of Chilton, formerly of New Holstein, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the Chilton Care Center. He was born May 5, 1920 in Marytown to the late Paul and Dora (Lefeber) Heus. On June 10, 1944 he married Lucy Brandt at St. Anna Catholic Church in St. Anna, WI. Eddie was a propane delivery driver with Meter Gas and retired from Ferrell Gas in 1985. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein and the Holy Name Society. Survivors include his wife, Lucy; six children, Edward Jr. (Mary) Heus of Sheboygan, Daniel (Diane) Heus of New Holstein, Donald Heus of St. Louis, MO, Michael (Barbara) Heus of Menasha, Elizabeth "Betty" Mayer of Chilton, and John (Leigh Ann) Heus of Carrollton, TX; 14 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren with the 15th great grandchild soon to be born in 1 week; his sister, Gertrude Gross of New Holstein; his sister-in-law, Blanch (Bill) Broehm of Menasha. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clifford (Dorothy) Heus, and Gilbert (Veronica) Heus; his sister, Henrietta (Leo) Winkel; two brothers-in-law, Alden Gross and Les (Sally) Brandt. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 1724 Madison Street in New Holstein. Rev. Loren Nys SDS officiating and Parish Director, Joe Zenk assisting. Burial will be in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in New Holstein. Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Ave. New Holstein on Friday, June 14th from 4-8:00 PM and at church Saturday morning from 10-11:00 AM. The Rosary will be recited by the Holy Name Society at the Funeral Home Friday evening at 7:00 PM.
