Elaine R. Keller, age 90, of rural St. Cloud, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
She was born December 3, 1927, to Benno & Agnes (Schmitz) Kohlmann. Elaine graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 1945.
On October 26, 1948, she married Al Keller at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Dotyville.
Prior to her marriage, Elaine worked at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. Following their marriage, Elaine, along with her husband, operated the Keller dairy farm in the Town of Greenbush near St. Cloud until they retired in 1988.
Elaine was a member of St. Isidore Parish-St. Cloud Church and the Christian Women's Society. She also belonged to the St. Cloud Homemakers. Elaine volunteered for many years with the Holyland Red Cross Blood Drives. She enjoyed ceramics, baking, cooking, fishing, bowling, playing cards, and traveling. Elaine was an energetic, strong, and fun-loving person who loved to spend time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Al; her five children, Diane Keller & her spouse, Susan McKay of Dallas, TX, Karen (Warren) Urban of Sheboygan, Mary Jo (Elwyn) Mantei of Marinette, Robert (Beth) Keller of St. Cloud, and Jane Keller-Allen & her husband, Tom Allen of McFarland; seven grandsons, Braden Mantei, Matthew Keller, Ian Keller, Wyatt Keller, Christopher Allen, Ryan Allen, and Nicholas Allen; two great-grandsons, Crew Mantei and Hudson Mantei; her brother, Harold Kohlmann of Fond du Lac; her sister, Darlene Kelroy of Allenton. She is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Benno & Agnes Kohlmann.
A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, September 7, 2018, at St. Isidore Parish-St. Cloud Church, 924 Main Street, St. Cloud, WI 53079. Rev. Larry Abler, OFM Cap will officiate. Elaine will be laid to rest in the St. Cloud Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation: Family and friends may greet the family at the Sippel Funeral Home, 1311 Thorp Street, St. Cloud on Thursday, September 6th from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will also be at the funeral home Friday morning, September 7th from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. A Prayer Service will be held at the funeral home Thursday evening at 8:00 PM.
A Memorial Fund will be established in her name.
