Eldred "Eldie" Totzke

Eldred “Eldie” Totzke, age 80, of Appleton, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Appleton Medical Center in Appleton.

Eldie was born on June 30, 1935 in rural Hilbert, son of the late Richard and Ella (Heyn) Totzke. He was a graduate of Chilton High School, class of 1953. Eldie served our country in the United States Air Force in Intelligence. On November 1, 1958, he married Marian Rohrdanz at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul. Eldie started and ended his working career with SC Shannon, later called Nash Finch, retiring in 1994. He worked part-time at Faith Lutheran Church in Appleton as a custodian after his retirement. Eldie loved bowling and was in both a Men’s League and Couple’s League. He also was an avid Packer fan, enjoyed long trips and dinners out with his wife and friends, and especially loved his family.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marian of Appleton; their three children and spouses: Julie (Don) Evers of Appleton, John (Tammy) Totzke of Colorado Springs, and Jim (Maria) Totzke of Appleton; grandchildren: Josh Evers, Alyssa and Anna Totzke, and Elizabeth, Kathryn, and Patrick Totzke; one sister: Arlene Clark of Appleton; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by one son: Ricky; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Norbert (Rose) and Reuben; his twin sister and three brothers-in-law: Eunice (Don) Parsons, Clarence Gotter, and Starr Clark; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Norman and Paula (Riemer) Rohrdanz, and other relatives.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church in Appleton. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Dan Thews, with burial in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.

Friends may call at the church on Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.
