Elizabeth "Betty" S. (Halbach) Reese, age 72, of New Holstein, passed away with her loving family at her side on Friday, March 26, 2021, at her home following a brief illness. She was born January 28, 1949, in Sheboygan to the late Claude Sr. & Margaret (Holzmann) Halbach. Betty attended grade school at St. Fridolin Catholic School in Glenbeulah and attended high school at Junction City near Stevens Point. On July 6, 1968, she married Thomas Reese at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Betty worked at the former Toth Nursing Home in Chilton and then at Mirro-Foley Mfg. in Chilton until that facility closed. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein and the New Holstein Lions Club. Betty is survived by her husband, Thomas; her three children, Tom (Beth) Reese of Sheboygan, Lisa (Tim) Roethel of rural New Holstein "Marytown", and Paul (Misty) Reese of Chilton "Quinney"; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Shirley Rolloff, Martina "Marty" Abler, and Ronald (Peggy) Halbach; her in-laws, Sherrie Halbach, Herb Wissbroecker, Cheryl Reese, Judy Reese, and David Reese. She is further survived by numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Claude Sr. & Margaret Halbach; her son, Brian Reese; her brothers, Claude Jr. (Marge) Halbach, Kenneth Halbach, and Roman Halbach; her sister, Mary Lou Wissbroecker. Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein, WI 53061.
