Elizabeth "Liz" Stedl

Elizabeth “Liz” Stedl, age 68, of Manitowoc, formerly of Brillion, passed away at her residence on Thursday, June 28, 2018.

Liz was born on January 22, 1950 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Walter and Alice (Heffernan) Perry.  She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, class of 1968.  She was employed at various places before her early retirement: the Brillion Community Center and Kwik Trip, and she was a very active volunteer at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.  Liz enjoyed reading and the family book club, crocheting, caring for animals, and spending time with her family.

Liz is survived by her children: Annette Yao, Barbara (Douglas) McKenzie, David Stedl, Christopher (Cristy) Stedl, and Matthew (Barbara) Stedl; friend and father of her children: Richard Stedl; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers-in-law: Ellen (Rupert) Framness and Janet (Ken) Seliger; sisters-in-law: Karen Stedl and Rita Brantmeier; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son James “Jamie” Stedl, one sister: Margaret Perry and other relatives.

A service will take place on at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion.  Officiating will be Holy Family Parish representative Rita Heraly.  Burial will be in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Brillion.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. until 6:45 p.m.
