Elizabeth "Elsie" M. Sippel Elizabeth "Elsie" M. Sippel, age 89, formerly of St. Cloud died Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mount Calvary. The former Elizabeth Schmitz was born May 27, 1923 in the Town of Marshfield near Mount Calvary to the late Matt & Ottilia (Schneider) Schmitz. Elsie attended Holy Cross Grade School in Mount Calvary. On November 25, 1948, she married Vernon "Bud" Sippel at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mount Calvary. Bud preceded her in death on December 2, 2009. She was a member of St. Isidore Parish St. Cloud Church in St. Cloud and a member of the Christian Women's Society. Survivors include her seven children, Linda (Mike) Winter of New Holstein, Leon (Ann) Sippel of St. Cloud, Dennis (Lauri) Sippel of Appleton, Dale (Esther) Sippel of Glenbeulah, Cheryl Lefeber of Fond du Lac and her friend Dave Earley, Pam (George) Vitteck of Gulfport, MS, and Ross (Daisy) Sippel of Kiel; a daughter-in-law Bonnie Sippel of Sheboygan; 25 grandchildren, Andy (Heather) Winter, Jason (Heather) Winter, Beth Winter, Jeff (Samantha) Winter, Nicki (Rick) Wagner, Noel (April) Sippel, Josh (Pam) Sippel, Abby Sippel, Amy Sippel, Aaron Sippel, Nathan Sippel, Grant Sippel, Samantha Sippel, Becky Lefeber, Jacque Lefeber, Cory Sippel, Dustin Sippel, Megan Vitteck, Emily Vitteck, Elijah Sippel, Jebadiah Sippel, Ezekiel Sippel, Elisheba Sippel, Apphia Sippel and Talitha Sippel; 6 great-grandchildren, Owen Wagner, Madelyn Sippel and Joah Sippel, Sofia Winter and Xavier Winter and Logan Winter; 2 sisters, Nettie Pauly of Mt. Calvary, and Virginia (Don) Rahmer of Mount Calvary; 4 brothers, Sam (Helen) Schmitz of Mount Calvary, Andrew (Zona) Schmitz of Sheboygan, Tony (Mae) Schmitz of Mount Calvary, and Alvin (Donna) Schmitz of Malone; in-laws, Vangie Karls of Fond du Lac, Howard (Marlene) Sippel of St. Cloud, Donna Entringer of St. Cloud, and Peggy Sippel of New York. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband "Bud"; a son Mark Sippel; a grandson, Christopher; a sister Marcella "Sally" Wagner; 6 brothers, Albin, Arlyn, Alex, Alfred, Arnold and Alphonse Schmitz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at St. Isidore Catholic Parish St. Cloud Church, 924 Main Street in St. Cloud. Rev. Steven Kropp OFM Cap. will officiate. Burial will be held in the St. Cloud Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home 1311 Thorp Street in St. Cloud on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 PM and at the Funeral Home on Saturday morning from 9:00-10:30 AM when brief family rites will be held. Memorials in Elsie's name may be directed to the Villa Loretto. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone at theVilla Loretto for all the special care given to Mom the past six years.
