Elmer J. Born Jr. age 51, formerly of Forest Junction, died on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center after a courageous battle with ALS. He was born on March 9, 1959 in Manitowoc, son of the late Elmer & Margaret (Horn) Born. Elmer served in the U.S. Army from 1977-1979 and worked for various companies in the area. He enjoyed road trips and being with his friends and family around the camp fire up north. Survivors include his special friend Lisa Genz, a sister Mary (Ray) Carlson of Milwaukee, 3 brothers, Donald (Rosemary) Born of Sherwood, Ed (Deb) Born of Askeaton, Willard Born of Brillion, nieces and nephews Katie, Chad, Curt, Erik, and Trina. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Christopher. In accordance with his wishes, a private celebration of Elmers life will be held at a later date.
