Elroy H. Stahl, age 66, of New Holstein, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 21, 2013.
He was born March 8, 1947 to the late Clarence and Loretta (Baumgartner) Stahl.
He graduated from New Holstein High School in 1965.
Elroy served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. After being discharged from the Air Force, he farmed on the family homestead in the Town of Charlestown his entire life.
He was a member of the Good Shepherd Parish in Chilton where he helped out with various Church functions. He also volunteered with Meals on Wheels in Chilton.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Arthur (Janice) Stahl of Elkhart Lake, Mary Ann (Curtis) Kramer of Sheboygan, Dorothy (Donald) Henschel of Elkhart Lake; brother-in-law, Marvin Gries of Green Bay. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
Preceding him death were his parents, Clarence & Loretta Stahl, a sister Darlene Gries; and two nephews, Michael Gries and Daniel Kramer.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Good Shepherd Parish Church 62 E. Main Street Chilton, WI 53014. Rev. Larry Abler OFM Cap. will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Chilton.
Family and friends may call at the Good Shepherd Church in Chilton on Saturday morning from 9:00-11:15AM.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in his name.
