Erwin "Duke" F. Dudarenke, 87, of Kiel formerly of New Holstein died Friday, March 18, 2011 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton.
He was born January 1, 1924 in Sheboygan to the late Fred & Helen (Jung) Dudarenke. Duke graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1942. He served in the Army from 1942 until 1946.
On July 20, 1946, he married Carolyn Brost in Sheboygan.
Duke was an over the road distribution specialist until he retired. He was a member of the New Holstein American Legion Post 124.
Survivors include his son, Richard (Lyn) Dudarenke of Orangeburg, South Carolina; his daughters, Barbara (Wally) Reseburg of Kiel, Jackie (Joe) Fannin of New Holstein and Janice (Larry) Baumgartner of St. Cloud; his grandchildren, Travis (Sandy) Reseburg, Michael (Traci) Reseburg, Michelle Pingel, Jason (Jennifer) Dudarenke, Jessie (Gus) Whetsell, Kyle Fannin, Kasey Fanninn, Karli Fannin, Raeann Baumgartner and Jenna Baumgartner; 14 great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; his brother, Walter (Alice) Dudarenke of Van Dyne; his sister, Betty (Donald) Kleine of Sheboygan; and nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Carol; a son, Donald; a brother, Gustav and a sister, Erna Radtke.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Avenue in New Holstein. Rev. James E. Werner will officiate. Burial with Military Rites conducted by the New Holstein American Legion Post 124 will take place in the New Holstein City Cemetery.
