Esther E. Spletter, age 77, of New Holstein, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. She was born May 4, 1935 to the late Lawrence & Mae (Ausloos) Kobriger. Esther graduated from New Holstein High School in 1953. She received her teaching certificate from Marion College. On June 20, 1959 she married Elroy Spletter at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was an Elementary teacher. She taught classes at Holy Rosary, St. Anna, and Port Washington. Esther was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary of New Holstein. She was a former member of the Daughters of Isabella. She is survived by her husband, Elroy and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Vernon Kobriger: two sisters, Maycel Hailey & Ruth Swanson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 1724 Madison Street. Rev. Harold Berryman officiating and Deacon, Pat Knier assisting. Burial will be at the Eaton Union Cemetery in the Town of Eaton.
