Eugene H. Krahn, age 79, of Brillion died on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay. He was born May 2, 1934, in the town of Maple Grove, son of the late Rudolph and Edna (Herwig) Krahn. He married Delores Thurow on November 25, 1956, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. Eugene worked at the Brillion Iron Works for 44 years as a pattern maker. He loved to play fast pitch softball as a pitcher for many, many years throughout Northeast Wisconsin. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion where he served on the Church Council, School Board, Finance Committee and was a delegate to Manitowoc Lutheran High School. He loved camping, was an avid Wisconsin sports fan and loved watching his grandchildren participate in sports. Eugene is survived by his wife Delores, his children, Richard (Mary Jo) Krahn of Reedsville, Jeff (fiancé Vickie) Krahn of Chilton, Lisa (Troy) Neumeyer of Manitowoc, five grandchildren, Tim, Adam and Travis Krahn, Brianna and Arianna Neumeyer, four great grandchildren, Haily, Bryn, Ethan and Bryson Krahn, a brother Marvin (Pat) Krahn of Brillion, sisters in law and brothers in law, Caroline (Norman) Krahn of Brillion, Doris Zeamer of DePere, Arlene Leuman of Brillion, Rodney Thurow of Georgia as well as many other relatives and friends. Eugene was preceded in death by a son, Randall, a granddaughter, Pamela Krahn, a brother, Elmer, his father in law and mother in law, Frank & Merna Thurow, and two brothers in law, Roland Zeamer and Leslie "Bud" Leuman. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. The Rev. Ross Henzi will officiate. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
