Evan M. J. Sell

December 1, 2003 — October 27, 2023

Lost in the moment, yet lost in a moment, Evan Sell, age 19, a resident of Appleton, died Friday, October 27, 2023.

He was born on December 1, 2003 in Neenah, son of Angela Kilishek and Brian Sell.

Evan was working towards his GED at Fox Valley Tech and was most recently working with Job Corp in firefighter training. Evan enjoyed anything outside, especially hunting and fishing and often said “Let’s Do Something.” Evan lived 100 years’ worth of life in 19.  His ambitions superseded.  His entrepreneurial spirit and charisma were unmatched.  If there were 30 hours in a day in Evan’s schedule, and if he was able to pencil you in, it was always a special and memorable experience.  His love for nature brought him closer to who he wanted to be.  He had such an extreme love for fishing that he often went unprepared but always found a way to improvise and make the most of it.  Evan was a free spirit who lived in the present, on his terms.  He was a dreamer and could brighten any room with his smile.  He was quick to make friends and be there for others.  He had a special bond with his brothers and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his mom: Angela Kilishek; his dad: Brian (Taylor) Sell; three brothers: Lance, Leo and Gabe; maternal grandparents: Michael Kilishek and Betty (special friend, Chuck) Kilishek; paternal grandparents: Joe and Tammy Sell; great-grandmother: Virginia Sell; godfather: Gregory Kilishek; godmother: Rachel Kilishek; godmother: Wendy Forbes; aunts and uncles: Justin, Ashley, Mariah (Jay), and godfather and uncle: Brad (Erin) Sell. Numerous great-aunts and great-uncles, and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his great-grandpa and great-grandma: Richard & Liz Kilishek; great-grandpa: Donald Sell; great-aunt: Phyllis Solberg.
