Francis "Fritz" W. Kohlmann Sr. age 89, formerly of Glenbeulah, died Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the Rocky Knoll Health Care Center in Plymouth. He was born September 17, 1923, in St. Cloud to the late Albert & Rosillia "Sally" (Mehler) Kohlmann. Fritz attended Glenbeulah Grade School. On September 18, 1945, he married the former Elizabeth "Betty" Born at St. Cloud Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Betty preceded him in death on March 20, 2000. Fritz and his wife farmed all their married life. They took over the Kohlmann homestead in the Town of Greenbush in 1956. Survivors include his four children, Francis Jr. "Sonny" Kohlmann of Plymouth, Herbert "Herbie" (Kathy) Kohlmann of Glenbeulah, Christine (Bernard) Koenigs of Glenbeulah, and Matt (Bev) Kohlmann of Waldo; his son-in-law, Jack Johnson of Waldo; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Andrew (Joan) Kohlmann of North Fond du Lac. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Elizabeth "Betty"; a daughter, Priscilla Johnson; his sister, Josephine Hartmann; and three brothers, Anthony, Wally, and Jerome Kohlmann. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at St. Isidore Parish St. Cloud Church, 924 Main Street in St. Cloud. Rev. Daniel Volkert & Rev. Oliver Bambenek OFM Cap will concelebrate. Burial will be in the St. Cloud Catholic Cemetery.
