Obituary

Frank (Francis) Raymond Hess, age 73, of New Holstein, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 18, 2018, with loving family by his side. Frank was born January 30, 1945, to Raymond & Rose (Pirkov) Hess. He attended Holy Rosary Grade School and graduated from New Holstein High School. Frank spent most of his life in footwear sales. Later he started his career as a butcher, opening Frank's Custom Meats in Red Lodge, Montana until retiring in 2009. He stayed busy through retirement helping family and friends, hunting and cooking as many meals for as many people as he could. Frank is survived by his three children, John (Jackie) Hess of Fredonia, Wisconsin, Greg (Tammy) Hess of Fredonia, Wisconsin, and Jacqueline Hess of Hudson, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Dustin Hess, Derek (Courtney) Hess, Hunter Hess, and Emma Hess; one great-granddaughter, Sage Everleigh Hess; his first wife, Barb Krajewski Hess; his second wife, Barb Livermore Hess. He is further survived by two brothers, Tom (Joan) Hess and Jerry Hess, two sisters, Lilly (John) Eckert and Anne (Bill) Anderson; sisters-in-law, Nancy Hess, Mary Hess, Judy Hess, and Diane Hess, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Ray and Rose (Pirkov) Hess; brothers, Robert "Bob" Hess, Richard "Dick" Hess, James "Jim" Hess, and John Hess; sister, Mary Edwards; and brother-in-law, Jesse Edwards. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 1724 Madison Street, New Holstein, Wisconsin 53061. Per Frank's wishes, please dress casual. There is no visitation or gathering prior to the Mass. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to Mass. A memorial fund will be established in his name. Special thanks to the caring staff at Willowdale Rehab Center in New Holstein for their loving energy spent taking care of Frank. Also, to the nurses, doctors, and staff at Theda Clark and St. Elizabeth's Hospital who made Frank feel so loved at every one of his visits and stays.
