Obituary

Frank R. Schneider, age 75, of New Holstein won his battle with cancer but passed away peacefully from heart disease Sunday, November 30, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton with his loving and devoted family at his side. He was born October 19, 1939, in Kiel to the late Lambert & Anita (Muehlbauer) Schneider. Frank attended St. Anna Catholic Grade School. He served in the US Army. On September 30, 1961, he married Arlene E. Wendel at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Frank had worked at Winkel Mink Ranch, Arps Corp., Depies Oil, Clairmont Transport, and a part-time police officer for the City of New Holstein. He retired from TNT Holland in 1999. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein and the New Holstein American Legion Post 124. Frank enjoyed riding his moped, traveling, playing Dominos, cards, antique cars, collecting gas engines, and trains with mom. Family was very important to him; most notably his grandchildren and great-grandchild. He truly enjoyed the family get togethers, especially during the holidays. Survivors include his wife, Arlene E. Schneider; his two daughters, Kris (Bill) Schad of New Holstein and Kathy (Jay) Hoekstra of Kohler; three grandchildren, Tylor Schad, Krystal Schad, and Kellie Hoekstra; his great-grandson, Liam Schad; two brothers, Kenneth (Ginny) Schneider of Kiel and Ronnie (Mary Ann) Schneider of Apache Junction, AZ; his sister, Mari (Dave) Ingraham of Madison; step-brother, Clem Kohn of Yelm, WA; his in-laws, Anna Mae (Gordy) Stemper, Joan (Tom) Hess, Glenn Wendel, and Lois (Steve) Arenz. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends who he truly loved. Preceding him in death were his parents, Lambert & Anita Schneider; his step-mother, Rose Kohn; and an infant sister. Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Avenue New Holstein, WI 53061 on Wednesday, December 3rd from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM when brief rites will be held A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 1724 Madison Street New Holstein. Rev. Harold Berryman will officiate with Deacon Pat Knier assisting. Burial will be in the Holy Rosary Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the New Holstein American Legion Post 124.
