George Matthew Sevenich

George Matthew Sevenich, age 84, of 123 Grand Avenue #2 in Brillion, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Garrow Villa in Brillion. George was born on January 21, 1929 is Sherwood, son of the late Anton and Gertrude (Guelig) Sevenich. He graduated from Hilbert High School class of 1946. George worked on the family farm, the Milwaukee Road railroad and then later at Tecumseh Products in New Holstein. He was a member of the Stockbridge Sportsman's Club and the Faro Springs Fishing Club. George was very generous and kept very little for himself. He enjoyed hunting deer, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. George also donated over eleven gallons of blood to the American Red Cross! George is survived by his two sisters and two brother-in-laws: Gertrude Behnke of Brillion, Esther (Norman) Boyle of Newton, IA and Lloyd Smith of Port Washington; nieces and nephews: Dennis (Julie) Behnke, Nancy (Mark) Erickson, Craig (Julie) Boyle, Susan (Barry) Fenton, Mary Boyle, Tom (Sandra) Boyle, Ellen (Michael) Gipe, Margaret Ann (Doug) Lamude, and David (Judy) Smith; 22 great nieces and great nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Antonia Smith and one brother-in-law, Kenneth Behnke. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion Rev. Timothy Brandt will officiate with burial at St. Mary Cemetery in Stockbridge. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. with mass to follow at 10:30. Online condolences may be made at www.wieting-funeralhome.com
