George R. Vogel Jr., age 81, of Manitowoc, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at the Manitowoc Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center where he resided for the past 41 years. He was born September 28, 1930, in the Town of Russell in Sheboygan County to the late George & Viola (Spettel) Vogel. George loved to play rummy. Survivors include his four brothers, Robert L. (Doris) Vogel of Coto de Casa, CA, Dennis G. (Mary) Vogel of Kiel, Jeffrey K. Vogel of Plymouth, and Steve L. Vogel of Madison. He is further survived by nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, George (Viola) Vogel; a brother, Kenneth Vogel, and a sister, Judy Vogel. Private family services will be held. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Chilton.
