Gerald (Jerry) L. Kawleski, age 67, of Fond du Lac, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home, on Friday, May 28, 2021. Jerry was born September 21, 1953 in Shawano, WI to Rose A. (Flatoff) and George A. Kawleski Sr. On October 6, 2001 he married Sherry M. Gurno on their beautiful property in Rhinelander, WI. Jerry retired from Mercury Marine in 2020 after a 40 plus year career. Jerry was an avid pool shark, lover of a fine steak and a good old fashioned, the master of a large pan of lasagna and maker of large kettles of soup. Jerry treasured the land he owned in Rhinelander, loved camping with his family, and attending Hodag Country Music Festivals. Jerry is survived by his wife Sherry, step-children Jacob (Amanda Rost) Tynan and Megan (Chad) Weber; siblings Dotty Streholski, George (Charlotte) Kawleski, Richard (Helen) Kawleski and Roger (Cindy) Luckow; sister-in-law Tammy Luckow; father-in-law Richard Gurno Sr.; five grandchildren, Samuel, Audon, Masen, Evelyn and Lincoln and other loving family members and friends. Jerry is preceded in death by his children Russell Kawleski and Angela Kawleski, his parents, his brother Larry Luckow and brother-in law Dick Streholski, step daughter Kristian Neumann and mother-in-law M. Christine Gurno. Visitation will be on Thursday June 3, 2021, 1:00 pm to 3:15 pm at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Ave New Holstein, WI 53061. Funeral Service to follow at 3:30 pm. Cremation will follow the service with private Inurnment at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Cemetery at a later date.
