Schott, Gerald L. Born to eternal life on Friday, July 9, 2010 at age 74. Survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Joan (nee Ruel). Loving father of Anita Lewis, Betty (Russ) Zirbel, Cheryl (Paul) Buechler, James (Linda), Matthew (special friend Nick), and Peter (special friend Stephanie) . Grandfather to Chloe, Taylor, Rachel, Zachary, Branden, Jennifer, Jacob, Brooke, Carson and Drake. He is also survived by 5 older brothers, Remus, Leonard, Ervin, Alvin and Harry. Preceded in death by siblings, Malina Rehm, and Norman, many nieces and nephews, and loving friends. Dad was a devout Catholic and also served in the U.S. Army Reserves. After being self employed (Gerald Schott Milk Transit, DePere, WI) for almost 25 years, he enjoyed retirement by spending time with his children and grandchildren, playing cards with friends, taking moped rides, and caring for his little dog Zoe. Dad worked very hard his whole life and recently has been there for mom with so much strength. Dad was a big man with a huge heart and he will be greatly missed! A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at St. Willebrord Catholic Church 209 S. Adams Street in Green Bay. Rev. Ken DeGroot O.Praem, Pastor, will officiate.
