Gerald Verhagen

Gerald "Q" Verhagen, age 66 of Brillion, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at his home. He was born on May 24, 1949 in Hortonville, son of the late Harlan and Ann (Van Der Horst) Verhagen. He married Rogene Koehn on February 2, 1974 in Little Chute. Q worked at Thilmany Papers until his retirement in 2014. He operated "Q's" Place in Reedsville and was an avid Harley rider. He loved to garden and fish, but most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Rogene, his children, Shannon (Jackie) Cummings of Abingdon IL, Leonard (Melinda) of Milwaukee, Robert (Darija) of Forest Junction, Jerry of Black River Falls, Christine (Brian) Hamberg of Maple Grove, Timothy and special friend Joseph Kosmalski of Minneapolis, Jesse of Reedsville, his grandchildren, Jordon, Rain, Aleah, Alex, Devon, Patrick, Robert Jr. Jerry Jr. Avery, Bryanna, Madelyn and Jackson, 4 sisters, Diane Verhagen, Rose (Dave) Stoltzman, Marilyn Nooyen and Betty (Gary) Vandenberg, 4 brothers, Tom, Dan, Randy (Lynn), Duane', a sister-in-law Missy (Mike) Verhagen DuFrane, and his special dog Mia. He was preceded in death by his parents a brother Ron and a brother-in-law Ken Nooyen. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday October 6, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion. Friends may call at the funeral Home on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
