Germaine Martha Lefeber, of St. Cloud, passed away at her home on November 29, 2021 at the age of 82 after a short battle with cancer. She was born May 9, 1939, in Kiel, WI to the late August and Mary (Wendel) Greuel. She married Ernest Lefeber at Holy Rosary Church in New Holstein, WI on January 28, 1961.
Germaine was a member of Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-St. Cloud Church and was a member of the Catholic Financial Life; where she held various positions.
Survived by her husband Ernie; her four children, Paul (Deanna) Lefeber of North Fond du Lac, Ken Lefeber of Plymouth, Barb Lefeber of Plymouth, and Bruce (Nancy) Lefeber of Plymouth; her grandchildren Cheryl (Nick) Clarenbach, Mark (Jessica) Lefeber, Terry, Gabby, Sammy and Maddy Lefeber and great grandchildren Elise and Lorelei Clarenbach. She is also survived by her sister Janice (Verlin) Behnke; sister-in-law, Betty Greuel; brother-in-law, Tony (Rosie) Lefeber; and sister-in-law, Rose Ann Hoerth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister; and 6 brothers.
In her younger days, she enjoyed bowling, gardening, and babysitting for several families, as well as her grandchildren. In recent years, she spent many hours working on genealogy records, playing sheepshead, monthly trips to the casino and following the Brewers, Packers, Bucks, and Badgers. Her favorite movie sums it up best, "It's (been) a Wonderful Life".
A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-St. Cloud Church, 924 Main Street, St. Cloud, WI 53079. Rev. Larry Abler, OFM Cap will officiate with Rev. Randy Knauf, OFM Cap concelebrating. Germaine will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery following the Mass.
Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Germaine's family at the Sippel Funeral Home, 1311 Thorp Street, St. Cloud on Thursday, December 2nd from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and visitation will also be at the funeral home Friday morning from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM when brief rites will be held.
In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in her name.
