Obituary

Gordon A. Pitzen, 92, formerly of St. Peter died peacefully Sunday January 16, 2011 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. Gordon was born February 5, 1918 in Marytown to the late John Pitzen and Barbara (Lefeber) Pitzen. On May 19, 1943 He married Rosalia "Sally"Casper at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg. Rosalia "Sally"preceded him in death on October 6, 2003. Gordon owned and ran a dairy farm in the Town of Calumet near Marytown. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Parish-St Peter Church in Malone. Survivors include his sons James (Mary) Pitzen of Eden, Ronald Pitzen of Williams Bay, and one daughter Mary (Joe) Schneider of Malone. Gordon is also survived by seven grandchildren; Sarah (Dean) Heltemes, Tom (Melissa) Pitzen, Jenny (Nathan) Scheel, John Pitzen, Josh (Laura) Schneider, Jeremy Schneider (friend Angela), Luke (Karissa) Schneider, seven great-grandchildren, a sister Aurelia Urban of New Holstein, two sisters-in-law; Esther Halbach of New Holstein, Esther Pitzen of Fond du Lac, and two Brothers-in-law, Paul Suttner of Curtis and Alvin Schmitz of Mount Calvary. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife Rosalia "Sally" and four brothers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday January 19, 2011 at Holy Family Catholic Parish St. Peter Church N8079 Church Road Malone, WI. Burial will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
