Greg Schmitz, 62, of Sherwood was peacefully called home to eternal life on July 31, 2023, with his loving family by his side following a courageous fight against cancer.

He was still employed in the Engines Division at Kohler Company after celebrating 30 years of service this past May.

His wife, children and grandchildren were his greatest inspiration in life. He also had a deep-seated passion for sports. He dedicated his time to coaching his children and others, imparting invaluable lessons and positivity onto them at a young age. When he wasn't coaching, you could catch him watching the Brewers on TV or in person at a game. As his kids grew older, he spent his time taking daily walks while listening to his favorite classics.

Greg is survived by his wife, Tracy; his three children, Trisha McCulloch (Joe), Brady Schmitz (Anya Miller), Karli Schmitz; his three grandchildren, J.J., Grayson and Sadie McCulloch; his parents, Glenroy and Mar Jean Schmitz of New Holstein; his in laws, Bill and Diane Saal of Arbor Vitae; his sisters Margo Schmitz, Michelle Jeanty (Randy). He is further survived by his aunts, uncles, many nieces, and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held for his family to celebrate his life.
