Harold Jonathan Jentink died peacefully Friday, April 22, 2011 after 90 great years of life. He was born December 24th, 1920 in Cedar Grove, Wisconsin, son of the late Garrett John and Hatti (Obrink) Jentink, of Dutch decent. Following high school, he entered the military during World War II. His tour of duty was with the US Navy and was stationed in California. Harold married his Brillion High School sweetheart, Margaret Peggy Seip during World War II. Returning from the military, he joined the Seip family automotive business. In later years he purchased the business and extended the franchise lines to include Chevrolet and Oldsmobile. He loved the automotive business, and while he retired in 1989, not a day went by where he was not talking cars or the state of the automotive business, or checking out the newest products. Over the years he was an active member of the Brillion Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, Masonic Temple, Shriners, and the American Legion. He was member of Faith United Methodist Church. Not a man to sit still, he loved his work and equally loved his time with his family and friends. Harold had the good fortune to travel internationally, but a drive to the nearby Brillion lakes was as satisfying. His interests were vast from golf, to fishing, to cards, to travel, to entertaining, but never alone, always with family or his dear friends. Harold is survived by his loving older sister Olive Nyenhuis, his 3 children; Robert, Barbara (Richard) Jeske and Jill (Robert) Lajdziak, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 1st at Faith United Methodist Church, Brillion. Pastor Susan Safford-Gaul will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to Faith United Methodist Church in Harolds name.
