Harold "Flip" C. Lefeber, age 87, of St. Cloud, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at The Villa Loretto in Mount Calvary after a short illness. Flip was born on Christmas Eve in 1933 at the family home in St. Cloud; the seventh and youngest child of Christ and Alvina (Voelker) Lefeber. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Leora (Elmer) Salchert and Marian (Ambrose "Speed") Feldner; brothers, Laverne "Jim" (Betty) Lefeber and Marvin "Marv" (Lucy) Lefeber; sister-in-law, Mae Lefeber; and brother-in-law, Roy Dreifuerst. He is survived by his brother, Joseph "Joe" Lefeber and sister, Rosemary "Rosie" Dreifuerst; twenty-five nieces and nephews; numerous other relatives; and friends. Flip attended St. Cloud Parochial School and graduated from St. Mary Springs Academy. After spending two years in the US Navy, Flip returned to St. Cloud where, from 1957 to l998, he worked in sales and eventually as business manager for Feldner Chevrolet. Flip was an integral part of the success of Feldner Chevrolet. He won many General Motors Achievement Awards and was instrumental in making Feldner a leading dealership in the area. After retirement, Flip spent winters at his home in Winter Haven, Florida and summers in St. Cloud. His very special love was his "cabin" on a channel of the Sheboygan Marsh. The completely off-grid, tranquil cabin was variously called "The Hut", "The Shack" or, by some,"The End of the World". However, Flip's favorite name for the cabin was "Die Schoene Ecke" (The Beautiful Corner). His parties with friends and family at both his home in Florida and at "Die Schoene Ecke" (amidst the Wisconsin deer, rabbits, squirrels and birds) will be remembered and talked about for years to come. Flip traveled to Europe --including Russia. One of his great joys was visiting friends in Bad Orb, Germany. He loved his family and friends, his cars (especially "Chevys" of course), big band music, telling jokes ---and "Wilma" his Russian Blue cat. Flip was a very special human being. His love of life and sense of humor were infectious. A more genuine, kind and generous friend will never be found. One of Flip's last contributions to the St. Cloud community was having a permanent canopy constructed in the St. Cloud Village Park for baseball enthusiasts to sit under and enjoy watching the games. He was a member of St. Isidore Parish-St. Cloud Church and a former member of the St. Cloud Volunteer Fire Department; serving as the secretary. A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at St. Isidore Parish-St. Cloud Church, 924 Main Street, St. Cloud, WI 53079. Rev. Larry Abler, OFM Cap, Flip's cousin, will officiate along with Rev. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap concelebrating. Military Rites conducted by the St. Cloud American Legion Harvey Blonigen Post 478 and State Military Honors will take place following the services. Burial will take place in the St. Cloud Catholic Cemetery.
