Harriet M. Heimke, age 88 of Brillion, died on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay. She was born on March 8, 1928 in Forest Junction, daughter of the late Arthur and Alice (Franzke) Schnell. On June 24, 1949 she married Howard Heimke in Forest Junction. Harriet was a graduate of Brillion High School. She worked for Knauf and Tesch in Chilton for a short time and then worked at the Brillion Iron Works until retiring in 1986. She was an avid bridge player and golfer, she loved to bake, and was the greatest Grandma ever! Harriet was a member of St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church in Brillion. Survivors include her husband Howard, a son Tom Heimke of GA. 7 grandchildren and 9 great grand children, a sister Marge Horn of Sturgeon Bay and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son Michael, a daughter Annette Martens, a grandson Sam Van Lanen and a brother Don Schnell. Memorial service will be held on Saturday May 21, 2016 at NOON at St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church in Brillion. The Rev. Mark Krueger will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Brillion. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
