Helen A. (Schmitz) Reinl, age 91, of New Holstein, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Caring Hands Assisted Living in New Holstein with her two daughters at her side.
She was born February 24, 1931, in rural New Holstein to Edwin & Alvina (Mertens) Schmitz. Helen graduated from New Holstein High School in 1949.
On October 23, 1954, she married Jerome Reinl at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Jerome preceded her in death on August 3, 1987.
Helen worked at various places throughout New Holstein. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein, the Christian Women's Society, and the Daughter's of Isabella.
Survivors include her two daughters, Cynthia Reinl of Green Bay and Pamela (Daniel) Streblow of Banks, Oregon; five grandchildren, Aaron (Mahalee) Streblow, Cassilyn Streblow, Zachary Streblow, Gabriel Streblow, and Magdalene Streblow; a sister-in-law, Shirley Roehrig of Chilton. Helen is further survived by nieces; nephews, and other relatives.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Edwin & Alvina Schmitz; her husband, Jerome; her siblings, Frances (Willard) Ninmer, Margaret (Carl) Gebhart, Genrose (Greg) Schwarz, Agnes (Melvin) Hanke, and Marion Schmitz; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Otto & Elizabeth Reinl; her brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Cordelia (Anthony) Nett, Jeanette (Bernard) Brenner, Melvin (Margaret) Reinl, Eugene (Vianne) Reinl, Sr. Virginia Reinl, Ronald (Dolores) Reinl, and Richard Roehrig.
A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street, New Holstein, WI 53061. Rev. Alvan Amadi will officiate. Entombment will take place at the Knollwood Mausoleum near Manitowoc.
Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Helen's family at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Friday, August 19th from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
