Helen M. Holzmann, age 103, formerly of Mount Calvary, passed away with her family at her side on Monday, June 11, 2018, at Grancare Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Fond du Lac.
Helen Steffen was born May 7, 1915, in St. Cloud to Hubert & Mary (Ditter) Steffen. She attended St. Joseph Grade School in St. Joe.
On May 1, 1934, she married Elmer Holzmann at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joe. After their marriage, the couple farmed on the Holzmann Homestead until retiring in 1974. Elmer preceded her in death on August 31, 2002.
Helen was a member of St. Isidore Parish-Holy Cross Church in Mount Calvary and the Christian Women's Society.
She enjoyed baking, gardening, and family gatherings.
Survivors include her five children, Shirley Ann (Willard) Kollowa of St. Charles, MO, James W. (Gisela) Holzmann of Mount Calvary, Roger (Rosemarie) Holzmann of St. Peter, Rosalie (Bill) Baus of St. Cloud, and Mary Ann (Jim "Bugsy") Mand of St. Peter; She is further survived by grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Clara Steffen of Fond du Lac; nieces; nephews; other relatives.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Hubert & Mary Steffen; her husband, Elmer Holzmann; a grandson, Darrell Holzmann; three sisters; four brothers; sisters-in-law; and brothers-in-law.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at St. Isidore Parish-Holy Cross Church, 308 S. County Road W, Mount Calvary, WI 53057. Rev. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap will officiate. Helen will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery following the mass.
Visitation: Family and friends may greet the family at the church in Mount Calvary on Saturday morning, June 16th from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in her name.
