Helen Mae Peters, age 85, a resident of Garrow Villa, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2011 at the Villa. Helen was born on February 23, 1926 in the town of Lawrence, daughter of the late Benjamin and Ella (Stren) Bacon. On June 21, 1947, she married Norbert at St. Boniface Catholic Church, De Pere. Helen worked at a couple of places, but her most recent was at the Brillion Iron Works, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Brillion Womens Club, enjoyed playing bridge and cribbage with numerous card clubs, and loved spending time with her family. Helen is survived by her children: Tom (Terri) Peters, Joy (Gary) Gilbertson, and Jill Peters, all of Brillion; daughter-in-law: Cindy Peters; grandchildren: Scott (special friend Pam) Peters of Brillion, Stacey Peters, Elisa (John) Bergstreser of Appleton, Ben (fiance Melissa) Peters of Greenville, SC, Nicole (Troy) Schwabenlander, Heather (Darrel) Steinfest, and Chelsea Wyngaard all of Brillion; great-grandchildren: Cash, Addison, soon to be baby Schwabenlander, Taryn, and Tyler; sisters and brothers: Florence (Ambrose) Manders of Green Bay, Carol (Bernie) Marcinkowski of De Pere, Marilyn Vanden Burg of Green Bay, Daniel (Pat Bacon of Green Bay; three sisters-in-law: Bonnie Bacon of Phoenix, AZ, Sr. Mary Grace Peters of Green Bay, and Bonnie Peters of De Pere; brother-in-law: Butch Zelton of De Pere; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Norb, her parents, her son: Dennis, brothers and sister: Elwood and John Jack Bacon and June Zelton, a brother-in-law: Don Vander Burg, and other in-laws. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Brillion. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Timothy Brandt with burial at Holy Family Parish Cemetery.
