Herbert C. Schisel, age 75 of Chilton, died on Friday, February 26, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. He was born on November 14, 1940 in Antigo, son of the late George and Aurelia (Buck) Schisel. He married Sarah “Sally” Gretz on July 9, 1966 in Denmark. Herbert served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964. He then worked at the Brillion Iron Works until his retirement. He was very devoted to his family and grandchildren and enjoyed being outdoors, especially caring for his lawn. Survivors include his children, Timothy J. Schisel of Manitowoc, Caroline “Carrie” Vander Bloomen of Manitowoc, Jennifer “Jenny” L. Seefeldt and fiancé Troy Davis of New Holstein, 6 grandchildren, Kayla Schisel and special friend Max John, Kyle Leiterman, Jocelyn “Josie” Stenzel and special friend Justin Bratz, Carly Schisel and special friend Brian Holsen, Stevie Vander Bloomen and Ryker Schmeling, 2 great grandchildren, Aurelia Schisel and Archer Holsen, 3 sisters, Betty (Duane) Hitsman of Kiel, Carol (Wayne) Schick of CA. Mary Kay Moulton of Kaukauna and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Travis, an infant brother Richard, and brothers George “Sonny” Schisel and Robert Schisel. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wieting Funeral Home, 215 S. Main St. Brillion. The Rev. Timothy Brandt will officiate. Burial will be in the Brillion Community Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from NOON until the time of service.
