Herbert J. Wissbroecker, age 79, of New Holstein, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023, at his home.

He was born July 24, 1943, in Antigo, WI to Harry Wissbroecker & Agnes (Losser) Wissbroecker Walentowski. Herb graduated from Elcho High School. He served in the Army from January 22, 1962 until his discharge on January 12, 1965.

On July 1, 1967, he married Mary Lou Halbach at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein; Mary Lou preceded him in death on October 30, 2002.

Herb had worked at Arps/Amerequip until his retirement. He loved his dog, Max; fishing, frisbee golf, and watching the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and the Wisconsin Badgers. Herb also enjoyed trips up North to Post Lake, watching horror movies, and spending time with his special friend, Adam.

Survivors include his six siblings, Ervin (Elyn) Wissbroecker, Harvey (Loretta) Wissbroecker, JoAnne (Gary) Lucia, Joe (Marilyn) Wissbroecker, June Wissbroecker (Stu Fish), and Bonnie (Bill) Zelechowski. Herb is further survived by in-laws; nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews; other family; and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Harry & Agnes; his wife, Mary Lou; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Claude & Margaret Halbach; his sister, Arlene (Donald) Pribbernow; niece, Jill Loing; and other in-laws.

Cremation will take place and Herb's inurnment will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery at a later time.
