Hildegard (Hildy) Heimerman, 94, passed away peacefully at Century Ridge on April 29, 2021. Hildy was born on September 28, 1926 to the late Richard and Mary (Steiner) Meier. She attended school in Charlesburg. Although she only went to school through the 6th grade, Hildy was a very intelligent and elegant woman. She married Leonard Heimerman May 2, 1945 and they celebrated 70 years of marriage in 2015. Hildy farmed with Leonard while raising their eight children. She worked at Northland Turkey Farms and had multiple cleaning jobs for doctors and at Backyard Nature Products. She was an amazing baker and provided her delectable desserts to Roepke's Supper Club in Charlesburg for over 40 years. She was an avid gardener and loved sharing her canned pickles, tomato soup and chowder with her friends and family. Hildy loved to sing and was a member of the St. Mary's choir in Marytown for over 60 years. While at home, Hildy always had freshly baked desserts and a new deck of cards on hand to welcome any visitors. Hildy also enjoyed cooking, reading books and trips to the casinos. Hildy was a sports fan, and cheered on the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. She was a very caring and sweet person and all who knew Hildy, loved her. Hildy will be lovingly remembered by her children, JoAnn (Roger) Weber, Dan (Barb) Heimerman, Don (Gwen) Heimerman, Ruth (Dan) Bloedorn, Lenny Jr. (Marla) Heimerman, Nancy (Joe) LeClair, and son-in-law Arno Krupp. She has 21 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Hildy is also survived by her best friend and sister Janet (Nic) Steinmetz and her sisters-in-law Mildred Wagner, Diane Meier, Terry Meier, and Lou Helen Meier. Preceding Hildy in death were her parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law Anton and Anna (Suttner) Heimerman, her dear husband Leonard, her daughter Barb Krupp, daughter-in-law Cathy Heimerman, sons-in-law Roger Nelson and Craig DeVaud along with her brothers Zeno (Norma), Clarence (Bernita), Gilbert (Marian), Severin (Marie), Orville, Alvin, and Patrick, her sisters Isabelle (Hugo) Stemper, Irene (Tony) Hoerth and Rose (Joe) Wettstein, her sister-in-law and brothers-in-law Gilbert Wagner and Mary Ann (Don) Beran. A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown (N10232 County Road G, New Holstein, WI 53061). Rev. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Hildegard's family at the church in Marytown on Tuesday, May 4th from 9:00 AM until 11:15 AM. Memorials will be directed to the St. Mary's Marytown Choir and the Calumet County Hospice Agency.
