Howard Peter Meyer, age 86, of rural New Holstein "St. Anna", went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Caring Hands Assisted Living in New Holstein.

He was born October 20, 1937, in rural St. Anna to the late Oscar & Alma (Freund) Meyer. Howard attended St. Ann Catholic School. He served in the Army National Guard from May 11, 1959 until November 15, 1962.

On June 3, 1961, he married Mary Ann Sippel at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown.

Howard helped his parents on the family farm. He worked at Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein for 40 years; in addition, he enjoyed working on his own farm and driving school bus in the morning for the Kiel School District.

Howard enjoyed deer hunting, sturgeon spearing, trapping, attending car show; especially in Jefferson & Iola, and spending many hours at his pond. Most importantly, was spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He sure enjoyed the laid-back country living in the St. Anna area.

Howie is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; four children, Terry (Linda) Meyer of rural New Holstein "St. Anna", Linda Meyer (friend, Elmer Lefeber) of New Holstein, Randall (Rebecca) Meyer of Kiel, and Kevin (Pamela) Meyer of New Holstein; nine grandchildren, Chad (Laura) Meyer, Cory Meyer, Emily Tuczynski, Mitchell (Leah) Meyer, Hannah Meyer, Evan Meyer, Laiken Meyer, Jenna Meyer, and Gage Meyer; five great-grandchildren, Hoyt Meyer, Allen Foth, Olivia Meyer, Amelia Meyer, and Judah Meyer. He is further survived by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Oscar & Alma Meyer and his siblings, Maurus Meyer, Roland Meyer, Audrey Menne, Patricia Buechel, and Wilbrd Meyer.

A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 20, 2024, at St. Ann Catholic Church in St. Anna (N188 School Street, New Holstein, WI 53061). Rev. Alvan Amadi will preside. Howie will be laid to rest in the St. Ann Catholic Cemetery following the Mass. Military Rites will be conducted in the cemetery following the service.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Howie's family at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein, WI 53061 on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be at the funeral home Friday morning, September 20th from 9:00 AM until 10:15 AM.
