Obituary

Irene L. Dickrell, age 97, formerly of Chilton, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, March 8, 2017, at Atrium Post Acute Care in New Holstein, WI. Irene was born October 12, 1919, in Stockbridge, to the late John and Mary (Schneider) Hoerth. She graduated Chilton High School with the class of 1938. On April 14, 1945 she married Kenneth Dickrell at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Kloten. Kenneth preceded her in death on October, 30, 1987. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton, Christian Women's Society, Daughters of Isabella, and a 4H leader. Irene is survived by her two sons, Duane (Linda) Dickrell of New Holstein and Lawrence (Sue) Dickrell of Neenah; four grandchildren, Julie, Cassandra, Natasha, and Nathaniel; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Arthur (Jean) Hoerth of Stockbridge; and many other family members and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Mary Hoerth; her husband Kenneth; a grandson, Kurt; sisters, Leona (Joe) Hanke, Lorraine (Claude) Meyers, Lillian (Rudy) Wettstein, and Verena (Rex) Sanderson; brothers, Al (Jenny) Hoerth, William (Loretta) Hoerth, Edmund Hoerth, and Anthony (Irene & Gladys) Hoerth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street, New Holstein, WI 53061. Rev. Pat Nelson SDS will officiate and Deacon Bernard Pat Knier will assist. Spring burial will take place at a later date at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Chilton. Family and friends may call at Holy Rosary Church on Saturday morning, March 11th from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM.
