Irene M. Kohlmann, age 100, formerly of St. Cloud, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mt. Calvary. Irene was born January 17, 1916, in St. Cloud to late August & Anna (Hoerth) Karl. She attended St. Cloud Catholic Grade School. On April 12, 1939, she married Lyle J. Kohlmann at St. Cloud Catholic Church. Her husband preceded her in death on August 28, 2002. Irene and Lyle lived on the Kohlmann family farm for 64 years. She loved to work in the garden, play dominos, cards, and bingo. Irene liked to listen to polka music and went on numerous bus tours. She was member of St. Isidore Parish-St. Cloud church, and the Christian Women's Society. Irene is survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She is preceded by her parents, August & Anna Karl; her husband, Lyle; six sisters and seven brothers; and her in-laws. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at St. Isidore Parish-St. Cloud Church 924 Main Street St. Cloud, WI 53079. Rev. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap officiating.
