Obituary

James W. McNally, age 75, of New Holstein, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at his home following a short illness. Jim was born April 8, 1945, in Emmetsburg, Iowa to Francis "Sass" & Kathryn "Maxine" (Devine) McNally. He grew up in Emmetsburg, Iowa where he attended St. Ellen's Catholic Grade School and Emmetsburg Catholic High School. On September 20, 1969, he married Kristine Klauck at St. John's Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler, WI. Jim was the Road Supervisor for the Town of New Holstein until retiring in 1998. He also worked with Del's Landscaping for many years. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein where he also volunteered at the church for many years. Jim was also a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council 12393. Jim was a former member of the New Holstein Volunteer Fire Department; serving for 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Kris; his three daughters, Amy McNally of Appleton, Robin (Jim) Johengen of Eau Claire, and Erin McNally of New Holstein; three grandchildren, Emily McNally, Michael & Samantha Horsch all of New Holstein; five sisters, Kathryn "Kay" (Jack) Kibbie of Emmetsburg, IA, Mary Jeanne (John) Kacmarynski of Sturgeon Bay, WI, Patricia "Pat" (Bob) Grace of Altoona, IA, Linda (Larry) Bangart of Chilton, WI, and Sheila McNally of Emmetsburg, IA; three brothers, Charles (Lorrie) McNally, Paul McNally, and John (Peg) McNally all of Emmetsburg, IA; his mother-in-law, Emeline Klauck of New Holstein; brothers-in-law, Dave (Geri) Klauck of Cedar Hill, TX, Dick (Deb) Klauck of Fond du Lac, WI, Bob (Angie) Klauck of Burlington, WI, Paul (Dawn) Klauck of Waukesha, WI and Jerry (Sue) Klauck of Eau Claire, WI. He is further survived by many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. Preceding Jim in death were his parents, Sass & Maxine McNally; an infant brother, Philip; his father-in-law, Pete Klauck; and a former brother-in-law, Tom Dietrich. A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street, New Holstein, WI 53061. Burial will take place in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Jim's family at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Saturday morning, December 12th from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Memorials may be directed for the American Heart Association or Leukemia Research Foundation.
