James E. Schneider, age 87, of Kiel, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Azura Memory Care in Sheboygan, WI.

He was born September 5, 1936, in Charlesburg to the late Joseph B. Sr. & Theresa (Boehnlein) Schneider. He attended St. Charles Catholic Grade School and graduated from New Holstein High School in 1954.

On June 4, 1960, Jim married Yvonne M. Morgen at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mount Calvary. Jim served in the National Guard from 1961 to 1965, which took them out to Tacoma, Washington for the first 18 months of their marriage.

Jim and Yvonne farmed outside of Kiel until 1996. Jim obtained his broker's license after farming and was an independent realtor for approximately 10 years.

After they retired from farming, Jim and Yvonne enjoyed going to their cabin in Elcho, WI. They treasured time spent there with their children and grandchildren, family and friends playing cards, fishing, riding ATVs and snowmobiling and visiting their up-north neighbors.

Survivors of Jim include his three children, Daniel Schneider of New Holstein, Judy (Tim) Putz of Howards Grove, and Glen (Marie) Schneider of Kiel; his former daughter-in-law, Corrine Brandl-Schneider of Kiel; seven grandchildren, Theresa (Ben) Skifton, Ryan (Emily) Schneider, April Schneider, Justin Bramstedt, Jacob Bramstedt, Carmen Schneider, and Ivan Schneider; five great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Rita Schneider of rural Plymouth, his brother-in-law Al Morgan of Kiel, and sisters-in-law Darlene (Ralph) Steffes of Milwaukee, and Janet (Pat) Dyer of Fond du Lac; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

Preceding him in death only 4 months prior was his wife of 63 years, Yvonne; his parents, siblings, Marie (Martin) Woelfel, Evelyn (Vince) Hanke, Florence Schneider, Loretta (Germann) Schommer, 2 infant sisters, Luke (Nellie) Schneider, Joseph Schneider Jr. and Mark Schneider; and a sister-in-law, Margie Morgen.

A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 94 N. Lincoln Street, Elkhart Lake, WI 53020.

Rev. Phil Reifenberg will officiate.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Jim's family at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church Saturday morning, June 22nd, from 10:00 AM until 11:45 M.
