James N. "Downtown Jimmy" Schwind, age 77, formerly of Armstrong & Fond du Lac, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the Trempealeau County Health Care Center in Whitehall, WI.

He was born May 29, 1945, to John P. Sr. & Margaret (Scott) Schwind. Jim attended Our Lady of Angels Catholic Grade School in Armstrong and graduated from Glenbeulah High School.

Survivors include his sisters, Mary Lou Myer of Plymouth and Janet Sippel of Mount Calvary; nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews; other relatives; and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, John Sr. & Margaret Schwind; his brothers, John Jr. (Barbara Wendling) Schwind and Jerome (Virginia Lex) Schwind; and his brothers-in-law, Cletus Sippel, Richard Burbach, and Ronald Myer.

A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, W1562 County Road B, Eden, WI 53019. Rev. Mark Jones will officiate. Burial will take place at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Cemetery in Armstrong following the Mass.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Jim's family at the church Saturday morning, April 1st from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM.
