James W. Oye, 72, of St. Cloud, passed away peacefully Friday, February 17, 2017, at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. He was born February 10, 1945, in Chicago, IL, to the late Alvin & Robbie (Adkins) Oye. On May 31, 1969, he married Mary Sabel in Elmhurst, IL; Mary preceded him in death on June 12, 2009. Jim worked for Sadoff Iron & Metal in Fond du Lac for 26 years. He was a model train collector, liked fast cars, and love to have conversations with people (share stories). Jim is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Rudy) Herrera of Joliet, IL; his son, Bill (Jodi) Oye of St. Cloud; seven grandchildren, Daniel (girl friend, Brooke), David, Hope, Faith, Hunter, Haley, and Mollee; a great-granddaughter, Charolette. He is further survived by his in-laws, other relatives, and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Alvin & Robbie Oye; his wife, Mary Oye; and his brother, Wendell "Sonny" (Bernice) Oye. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at the Sippel Funeral Home 1311 Thorp Street, St. Cloud, WI 53079.
