Jane Angela (Burg) McAbee, age 66, of rural Plymouth "Crystal Lake", passed away Monday, July 8, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center Sheboygan, following a seven month diagnosis with bone cancer.
She was born July 15, 1957, to the late John & Angela (Steffes) Burg. Jane graduated from New Holstein High School in 1975.
On December 2, 1978, she married Michael John McAbee at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joe.
Jane was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing cards and games with family and friends (especially with her grandchildren). Family was very important to her. Jane's love of family goes back to spending time with her siblings on a regular basis, her grandchildren and children were at the top of her list. Jane always had a smile on her face and full of laughter and kindness. She was deeply loved; she loved everyone that she formed a close relationship with.
Jane is survived by her husband, Michael, of 45 years; her two children, Melissa (Troy) Zingsheim and Quentin McAbee; two grandchildren, Caitlin & Ethan Zingsheim; Jane's siblings, Jim (Dottie) Burg, Gale (Debbie) Burg, Mary (Jim) O'Connor, Threse Reinhardt, Bill (Michelle) Burg, Renee (Mark) Leibham, Connie (Brian) Swirth, Bob (Lynne) Burg, and Tony (Denise) Burg; her in-laws, Pat (Brian) Krug, Colleen McAbee, Brian (MiSon) McAbee, Jennifer Crinion, Jackie Crinion, and Charlene (Jerry) Filipiak. Jane is further survived by aunts, an uncle, nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, John & Angela Burg; her sister, Joan Griffin; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Robert & Orlien Crinion; a brother-in-law, Timothy McAbee; a sister-in-law, and Maureen (Bob) Wienke.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein, WI 53061. Rev. Michael Bertram, OFM Cap will preside.
Visitation: family and friends may visit with Jane's family at the funeral home on Saturday morning, August 3rd, from 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM.
Jane's family extends their sincere appreciation to the staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in Sheboygan for their care given to her since January of this year.
