Janet A. (Wettstein) Rieder, 78, of New Holstein, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 23, 2017. Janet was born July 23, 1939, in New Holstein, to LeRoy "Bouncey" & Elda (Jochmann) Wettstein. She graduated from New Holstein High School in 1957 and attended UW Whitewater. On September 29, 1962, she married Ronald Rieder at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Ronald preceded her in death on September 27, 1994. Janet was an administrative assistant at the former Tecumseh Engine Products Company in New Holstein until her retirement in 2000. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Survivors include her sister, Caroline (Phil) Zipp of Tomahawk, WI and her brother, Michael (Jane) Wettstein of Wales, WI; her brother-in-law, Robert (Jean) Rieder of Chilton; and her sister-in-law, Janice Rieder of New Holstein. Janet is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; a brother-in-law, Gordon "Smokie" Rieder and a nephew, Randall Rieder. A Grave-Side Service for Janet will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Holy Rosary Cemetery in New Holstein. A memorial fund will be established in her name.
