Janice Mae Hillmann, age 78, of Reedsville, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Brillion Westhaven. Janice was born on February 13, 1934 in the town of Maple Grove, daughter of the late John and Delia (Behnke) Utke. She attended St. John St. James Lutheran School in Reedsville and graduated from Reedsville High School, class of 1952. Janice married John Hillmann on June 20, 1953 at St. John St. James Lutheran Church. After high school, she worked for one year at First National Bank, Manitowoc. She was a member at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. Janice was a loving, stay at home mother who raised her four children and helped her father and mother on their dairy farm. She loved family gatherings with her children and grandchildren. Janice is survived by her husband of 58 years: John; their four children: Joy (Rev. Jim) Bolda, Fall River, WI, Jane (Rev. Tom) Schneider, Stevensville, MI, Judy (Larry) Boettcher, Reedsville, WI, Jeff (Molly) Hillmann, Green Bay, WI; their grandchildren: Jace Bolda, Fall River, Jenna Bolda, Watertown, SD and fianc Ben Schmudlach, Mequon, WI, Dr. Abigail (Bryant) Polzin, Milwaukee, WI, Emily Schneider, Fort Worth, TX, Jesse (Lindsey) Schneider, Milwaukee, WI, Molly Schneider, Stevensville, MI and fianc Michael Schroeder, Mankato, MN, Marissa (Tim) Maertz, Brillion, WI, Landon Boettcher, Taran Boettcher, and Callen Boettcher, all of Reedsville; one great-grandson: Lucas Schneider, Milwaukee; one sister-in-law: Delores Schwalenberg, and one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Fred (Toni) Hillmann. Nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends further survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, a granddaughter: Ashley Boettcher, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, and a brother-in-law: Cyril Schwalenberg. Funeral Service for Janice will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Timothy Nommensen with burial at Westside Cemetery, Reedsville. Friends may call at church on Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be made at www.wieting-funeralhome.com. The Wieting Funeral Home, Reedsville is assisting the family with arrangements. A memorial fund has been established in Janices name.
